Leonie this is a beautiful flower. You explanation makes it even more fascinating. It does remind me of flames. For me it would show better with a darker frame.

The trick to good photography is to learn where to point your camera and when to push the shutter. The EYE is more important than all the technical stuff.
I don't know how you do it but you do it so well. The subtle tones at the edges of the flowers and the clean separation from the background are marvelous! Beautiful job Leonie.
