I came to Photozo with a new Nikon D50 and no idea of what to do with it,
except shoot on automatic. I heard about Robin's classes from a friend who
had taken them, so I and signed up. All I can say is, WOW. I learned so
much about my camera and about composition and exposure. The format of the
classes was fun and informative. There was plenty of time to do the
assignments. The critique was good. And the best thing was, I really
learned how to use my camera as a creative tool to see the world around me
as I envision it.

have taken both the beginners and the advanced class offered on Photozo.com. Prior to taking the classes I could only shoot a black square in manual mode, worse yet, I had no idea why.
Since the classes I now only shoot is manual mode and the photos are coming out very nice.
I would recommend it to anyone buying a SLR camera for the first time.

I was lucky enough to be in the very first class that Robin undertook for Photozo. September 2005
The day before the class started my husband gave me a Canon S2 IS. This was my first digital camera other than a point and shoot. I had no idea how to use the settings. Ugh!
If it weren't for the massive amount I learnt with much help from Robin, I would probably still be using AUTO
I have just progressed to a Canon 400D txi and a collection of lens.
Tough going again for the old lady, lol I am about to enrol in the advanced classes with Robin as I am sure this is what I now need to master this new outfit.
Many thanks Robin and Photozo for these great opportunities.

For anyone with a new digital camera, the Photozo basic class is an singular learning experience. One can get only so much from reading the manual that comes with the camera. Almost immediately the student will be challenged to take indoor and/or reduced lighting shots with NO FLASH. This is a great way to learn how to use the new powerful ISO settings in combination with shutter speed and aperture settings. And....a big plus: every assignment will be critiqued by our instructor. This class is fantastic!
