I just had a great time working through this tutorial with my son. He wanted a NASCAR image with flames. I have read a few articles, and bought some photoshop magazines but none of them covered something as fun as this one. Now if I could only remember all the steps

Welcome to Photozo.
Copy the steps to Word and print it out. I do that instead of keeping an open (off line) IE page while I'm trying to learn or adapt a technique.

I have not tried the effect yet but it looks brilliant on the tutorial, certainly one to keep, thanks for sharing it.

That is one way cool workflow! Thanks for pointing this one out to us, much appreciated.

Now let's see the results from the Zo people!

Wow, what a realistic effect, so cool. I just have to find something I can use this on.

I just LOVE this one! It was a bit rainy here yesterday, so I decided to give it a go. Here's what I came up with. Yeah I know, not too creative on the word I used, but I wanted to see if I could do it before I attempted anything else lol.

You both nailed this one perfectly! Looks like I'll have to attempt it myself, it looks so cool. I wonder if we could do something with an actual image...

Thanks Mart! I was pretty happy with the results too. I don't know if you could apply this to an actual image or not, but I'm betting somebody much better at Photoshop than me might give it a go. It was a lot of fun to do too.

I like Brian's reflection better than mine, I cut mine off. I should have made the canvas size larger before I did the reflection.

Personally, I quite like it that we don't see the whole reflection.

Yeah, I think both ways, whole reflection or partial are just fine. After all its all a mattter of what YOU like. :-P I t is just one of the really cool things to do. I agree that most of my pictures would not benifit from it, but boy did my son like it. We printed it off and are making more of them. He is 5 going on 6 and loves flame jobs. He draws them on all his truck and car pictures and even a few airplanes, so his room is destined to be covered with these.... lol
