Last weekend, I went to buy some flowers for family. I found there were a lot of flowers I'd never seen before. Here is a flower, who know the name? :-)

Nice conversion. Sorry I don't know the name of the flower.

Hi... This is a Dahlia. They grow from CORMS (bulb like things) which you remove from the ground each year and replant the next.
I am a flower girl and I like flowers in colour. :-) Nice sharp shot though.

Thank you, Jan. Now I know what the flower is.
The flower is beautiful. I couldn't help shoot it at that moment. But I found B+W for the flower is better than keep its colour.

Wow, the color shot is gorgeous. I like the 2nd one so much better.

The color is so much better. Flowers are made for color.

I think they both work equally well, for different reasons. Color is obvious. you get to see the vibrance of the colors, but it also distracts you from seeing other aspects. The black and white lets you see those. The forms and textures of the flower and leaves become more apparent, and the subtle changes in light help accentuate them. Well done.

Dave
