I am really pleased that we now have a Glamour Forum. Glamour photography I feel is sometimes much maligned considered by many as an undignified exploitation of the female of the species and pandering to the unnatural and voyeurisitc instincts of the male of the species.
Everyone of course is entitled to their opinion. When I first began shooting glamour I have to admit that at the end of the shoot I didn't feel entirely comfortable myself with a lot of aspects especially concerning my own involvement in the shoot and direction of the model, however, the more I became involved the more fascinating the whole genre became and as with everything in photography you begin to realise just how difficult that WOW shot is to achieve and initial doubts and reservations were forgotten and replaced by the quest for excellence. I have to say I am quite a way away from that but I have come a long way from a standing start.

It still fascinates me understanding lighting for glamour and post processing which is essential and finding that extra special model is a big challenge.
I look forward to seeing, listening to and sharing other peoples views and experiences in our new Forum.
