These are very nice and well lit. I like how you used the sun for rim lighting. Nice work.

Welcome to the forum, by the way.

Somehow I missed this post. Excellent job of getting that flash off the camera. Thanks for the "overview" shot which shows your fill light reflector and the amount of ambient light. Looks like techniques right out of Joe McNally's books! Well done!

A large light stand and boom like that aren't very portable (the ones in my car are half that size), but they're certainly more stable than smaller ones. I keep an empty one-gallon jug with me so I can fill it with water and use as a counterweight.

I am extremely impressed with the quality of light that you have in both of these photos. Was there only the one light besides the ambient light?

Saeed, these are beautiful shots! I applaud you for several reasons. You loaded your shots on the Zo so I can see them*. You displayed finished shots as well as an overview of your technique. Perfect!

Welcome to the Zo! I hope to I see more of your work.

I also missed it. The lighting is perfect in these shots. I especially like the 2nd shot. I also appreciate you adding the "how-to" shot. You know what they say, "A picture is worth a 1000 words". Welcome to the ZO. Hope you stay around and show more of your work.
