help!! need advice on lighting technique

hi friends...

i will do my wedding job next week...but the function will be held in a hall...i never do this..

i just have 420ex speedlite only....what should i do?? use the flash or

not?? afraid to use direct flash coz a shadow..

or just play with the iso and without flash?

please help...thanx in advance

Also some sound advice that was given to somebody else in a similar situation was to go along and practice the different techniques you think you will need in advance, so you are prepared. and may see some of the shortfalls
