Rob, don't walk into the light!
Ok, being serious now (and lame attempt at humor), it's a very nice effect. It gives me the feeling of a spirit wisping away rather than a tunnel - not sure which was your intent.
I would play around with the sky colors some more, I bet some edits in that area will enhance the image even more. But otherwise I like it.
Tacky isn't a bad thing if taken to an extreme, then it's "culty" or "kischy" (sp?). I think this one works, yes it's tacky, but tacky enough that it's cool, and tacky on purpose makes all the difference. In short, I like it just fine. You pushed it enough with the angle on the land, the water, the sky and the ghosties that it works well.

Thanks Andy & Angie , transforming that particular shot to give a spooky feel might be hard and even harder in colour.
Think I had enough spirits for a day ;-)
Cheers , thanks again for viewing

WoW! Disney will go to any length to keep old customers. A ride for dead people. I would never have thought of it. :-D
Interesting picture.

It's great...I was thinking more along the lines of "Twilight Zone"! I love the creativity & orginality! Good job!

Rob, my opinion is the tacky factor comes in because it's so bright. I see what you're headed for, but when I think graveyard and spirits drifting off, it's a lot darker and scarier. This bright, I don't get any feel for atmosphere. Darker, it doesn't necessarily have to conjure up images of "Night of the Living Dead," but that's when I think spirits come out to do what they do. Right now it looks like they could be headed to the beach for lattes and croissants. I like the elements, but I'd like to see what it looks like with the lights out.

Lol ,Yes Al it was a lame attempt for a spooky creation.
Like you I think night time shots and particular in B&W give the best results.
