Took these shots yesterday after leaving the old farm (Dilapidated) location. The coal industry is one of the major employers in this area. Wasn't sure if these belonged in the Architecture forum, so placed them here.

I like the second shot. Imagine it with a vehicle at the half way point down the road kicking up just a bit of dust.

I like #2 ad #3 best. How they Convey coal with that?

Great shots...reminiscence...I apprenticed in a coal fire power station commissioned 1928, working on the coal conveyors was DIRTY work.

That would make a good shot. Thank you.

There's a moving conveyor belt that transports the coal. Much like the moving "sidewalks" in airports for people.

Thank you. Very dirty work. All underground mines here. Remember the song by John Denver that talked about Peabody Coal Company...Muhlenberg County? I live about 29 miles from that county. And Peabody is still in business.
Interesting shots. There is a lot of history in coal there.
I took a trip to Paradise when that song was popular to see the place mentioned. I think the jail was still standing then. I haven't been back since so I don't know if it {the jail} is still standing.

Thank you. These shots were taken near my town, and not in Muhlenberg County, but yes a lot of history in that county. Have not been to Paradise yet.
