This is Buddy at the Roscoe Reading Program ice cream party. Buddy encourages the children to read. If they reach their goal, we have an ice cream party for them. This is one of the teachers daughter.

John, that's a lovely scene. Very Monet/Manet-esque. Nice composition too.
Ryan, great job on the pp in this one. She looks spooky and her eyes are particularly creepy. ~~Peg

I shot these stained glass windows separately and then combined them in one large stained glass triptych. They are inside the mausoleum where my husband's mom is buried. ~~Peg

Peg those are pretty. Just got a new monitor today and not sure it is right. These look more like paintings than photos of glass.

I call this one Cutie and Beast. School there Halloween parade today. Inside because it was too wet out.

Jared, don't worry, you are not the only one who is behind, I think a lot of people are just very busy. I am so, so busy it is not true but am having exciting times with a personal project and learning new skills for other jobs. Like you, I always make sure I take a pic each week (which is the purpose of this thread after all) but usually at the last minute and then I don't find the time to upload it. Just been catching up on what everyone has been shooting over the last few weeks - great fun.

Monnie - that dog of yours certainly is special. Good shot of him and the little girl.

John - nice subtle colours, it almost looks like a painting. I agree about the cold, it looks freezing somehow.

Ryan - an excellent halloween shot and I like the high key effect.

Peg - beautiful! I too just love stained glass.

Skippy - Happy Halloween. The one on the left is just not scary at all though! In fact, he looks more scared of you!!

Skippy

Ryan think I skipped you sorry. That is good for Halloween. Hope you had a good time.

Polly glad you are catching up. Took a picture just for you several weeks ago and I don't think you saw it. lol Made it easy for that week though.

Oh Skippy, which week was that, I sometimes come onto here and whizz through and miss things. I am actually taking a little bit of time out this afternoon so I will try and catch up. Honestly, I thought that when you reached 60 you were meant to slow down a little but I am busier than ever!!

Here is my offering for this week.

This house is in the town of Lauria, near where I live. You can't see from this side, but on the other side of the house this is a painting of what you can see (well, more or less as you have to allow for artistic license of course).

I love it and have been meaning to photograph it for some time.

What a cool paint job for a house. Bet you would like to meet the person who lives there. I would. It's almost as if they are trying to show you the view they are blocking. Nice Polly

ok, got Nolan to sit still for just a moment today. He's now mobile (crawling) and not far from walking. Can't keep track of him; he just takes off when you put him down.

I finally got up early enough to catch sunrise, and there was a fresh blanket of snow on the mountain thanks to our change in weather pattern. But a fog bank kept me from the shot I was hoping for. So I had to settle for er uh I mean a really nice crop of just one exposure (with a few extra shutter releases or so ). Well if a triptych counts... hopefully you'll let it slide? Without the whole mountain it just isn't whole.

Monnie - neat candid moment you captured with buddy
John - I love that scene, the reservoir looks great - composition and treatment
Ryan - your treatment of the subject really adds to the mood of her costume
Peg - Triptych looks great, nicely complementary. will have to try one some time
Skippy - interesting couple of spooks juxtaposed together there!
Polly - great subject you found of the mural, that is pretty cool that it shows the view beyond, thanks for sharing
Michael - too bad the weather prevented your sunrise, nice finding the seasonal theme out of the view from the roof though.
Isaac - what a pumpkin you got there, and those orange things behind him too, good seasonal memories you captured.

Feels good to be caught back up with this project and participating again, there isn't much time left  Thanks for all the encouragement this week!
