I'm not going to be late this week!

Here's one taken this afternoon, local town lads saw my camera and immediately gave me a pose for a photo.
Great bunch of lads!

The turkeys are hanging around the backyard chasing each other and crane flies. (Or so we call them here). This big fellow was following the hens and standing guard. ~~Peg

Wow Peg, he is a real bruiser!
He has amazing colouration though, how heavy would he be?

Rob, great shot. They look full of themselves.lol
Peg, what a handsome guy. What editing did you do?

Thank you Rob. My husband and I were wondering the same thing. He is HUGE! And the other one we've seen is just about as large. I have no idea about the weight. But his chest is massive. ~~Peg

Monnie, I did curves, levels, lowered the highlights, sharpening, crop and that's it. He was pretty close to the house. The coloration is natural. ~~Peg

Hello, I was out walking some pups today and saw this little squirrel. I put the dogs up and ran to get the camera. I figured he would take off when I walked up but he let me take several pictures of him eating on the ground then he ran up the tree and found a good place to chill :) I know the stick needs to be removed via photoshop but I don't have it yet but getting it soon.
It was amazing how close I was able to get. Couldn't wait to share with you guys. I took some pictures of a rose this morning thinking i would use it for the weekly sharing but the squirrel won on my book :)

Wow what a gorgeous turkey btw!!!!!

Nice squirrel, Jenn. They are little posers. I have several in my pecan tree that always pose for me. Is this a pecan tree he's in?

Hey he is sitting in a maple tree. He was so cute. Normally they run away but he didn't mind me at all :)

This morning a deer was out in the yard. So I grabbed the camera took a few pics before she scurried off :)

Like the boyles, Rob.
That is a colorful turkey, Peg
Like Jenn, I have a squirrel.

I have never seen a squirrel drink like this and this was truly a snap shot.

...and now for something, completely different..whilst y'all are out and about, I am working.

What you see is...2 x 5600HP, 3600RPM, 4160V connected together for testing. Due to the size and speed there are no dyno's that can perform, with the accuracy needed, to measure the vibration requirements of these machines.

One motor acts as the drive and the other the driven. The driven is the test machine. Each will have voltage and frequency supplied, different from each other, which ultimately translates into load on the bearing, heat and vibration, bearing oil heat, water heat (cooling system) and air heat (heat exchange system)

Yep....having fun...how about you.

This is an amazing display of machines here.

I was just working on the design of a supermarket this morning with a 50hp fire pump and I thought that was big. :D And I'm only using 460v.

So 5600hp, (without knowing efficiency, and power factors,) what are we looking at, close to 1000 amps for one motor @ 4160v ? What will these be used for?

Rob they do look like a nice bunch and very relaxed.

Peg you got with the tail out. Good job. They usually don't weigh as much as they look. Will my son what they weigh up here.

Jenn love to watch the squirrels. They are so cute.

Willard I have never seen one out on limb over the water like that. lol

Michael yup got all that. Would sure hate to do all the math for taht equation. But I am sure you will figure it out.

Willard....we have finished the performance side...this is bearing housing vibration (Horizontal, vertical and axial) and shaft displacement vibration, 2 proximity sensors, each at 45^ to 12.

Paul...thought you may find this interesting. 700Amps @ 4000V (4160 is the system voltage), 95.7% Eff and 0.9PF,

These are to drive pumps...Boiler feed water pumps in a N power station.

Yep, men are from Mars and women from Venus. Notice the guys understood Micheal. Not so much the girls/ladies.
Hubster is definitely from Mars. I read it to him and he understood every word. He was in charge of the engine room of Navy ships he was stationed on.
Willard, nice capture. That's a one of a kind shot. Well done.

Just a shot of Kaitlyn holding Samantha on her horsey swing. I wanted a shot of them together on the swing. Elizabeth, my daughter/their mother, was freaking out just off camera. She was so afraid Kaitlyn would drop her sister. lol

Peg, awesome turkey! Can't believe it's right in your yard!!
Jenn, cute squirrel, looks like he's just hanging out :)
Willard, another cute squirrel, quenching his thirst :)
Michael, nice composition and color, although I'm clueless, LOL!
Monnie, I'm pretty sure Kaitlyn would never drop her baby sister :) Great pic!

Well, being new here, I thought I'd join the Project. Nothing special as far as photos go, just a small glimps into our life. This is Scrappy Doo back from his first puppy haircut, taken from outside our 5th Wheel looking in. The groomer even hooked him up with a little chili pepper bandanna.

Here's mine for this week!

http://www.photozo.com/album/data/500/medium/bramble1.JPG

My parents dog (until last week they had two so she's feeling a bit lonely I think the photo shows part of that). Editing involved turning the image B+W by Desaturating it and then bringing out her eye colour. I doesn't make much difference since she's black and white anyway but it gets rid of the garish carpet in the background.

Party tonight at a friend's house. I'm afraid I had one beer too many to be an effective photographer, but I thought this shot was interesting. Taken around the firepit... Can you see the Dragon in the fire?

Walked by this this the other day. Am awestruck by the length of it. I thought my wagon was long. lol Just proves no matter what the size some one is always going to have some bigger. Not sure if this a restoration in progress with the different finishes on different body parts. The other side had a few more colors. Wish I had been door handle to door handle to this one. Just to know how much longer it is. :bounce:

Nice capture, Skippy. I had a Grand Torino station wagon back in the '70s. I used it dog showing. That was one long car, too.

This was a Pontiac not sure what year. After we traded in the Rivera I have always had station wagon of some sort. Love them, but am soon going to have to switch to something else. Son just bought a used Jeep that I rather like.

They made some pretty big wagons back in the 60s. My dad had one like that. Wouldn't really want it now with today's gas prices though. I think he only got 12 mpg with it. Looks like its got a case of saggy butt too.

Well that could be Steve, but it is sitting in a hole. The parking lot has springs under it and they fix it. Lasts for a while and then begins to break up again. lol
