ap. asked me to do this. A search came up with nothing. If there in fact is such a thread, feel free to delete this one.
My macro, can you figure out what it is?

It is none of the above. As you can see it is textile handicraft. Susan, your's is the closest sofar. It is used for protecting/warming something.

An ovenmitt is for protection against warming :)
Not earmuffs either.
The thingys are two objects, not one (so they come in pairs).
Fingers on some gloves?
Very VERY dirty q-tips?
Big toe warmers?
Ear plugs?
Pinky finger protectors?
Am I getting close?

I don't know what a q-tip is. I thought Carlton wanted a hint/tip ;P
You are getting close. It was cold, warm, cold, cold, in that order. Perhaps I should say what it is, since it may take some time otherwise, and I do not know how much closer you can get.

How about just a winter mitten? To keep your whole hand warm?

How did you guess?
It is the feet of a stuffed toybear, to warm my feet. Now I just need to get my wire so I can post a pic of them in full size.
Many of you guessed slippers, and you are partly right, but I was looking for the word bearslippers. Now bear will do :P
WOOHOO! I got it, honestly I didn't have a clue at first. I was thinking Kiwi fruit. Then some one said something about feet. and it just hit me.

well I've never really had an eye for fiding pics that work well for this but I'll give it a try. Don't let that stop you (or anyone else) from posting one.

There are a few of these in the projects room, which is a really good place to put them... :-)
Of course, they've been solved, but if you can resist temptation to scroll down to the following messages... :-)
Cheers,
Stuart

That's probably the best place for them - I would have moved this one but don't have the access to moderate this forum...
