OK....before I enlighten you, try and see if you can guess why I titled it such ;-)

I took this Monday evening, down the street looking south toward Seattle from the bluff. Just to the west (right of picture) the storm was fast approaching, and socked in, but we still had this small window of light. We had torrential rain and wind AND snow above 2000 feet....IN JUNE. Fact is, one hiker, on a day hike, lost his life because of exposure. Normally a 70 sumtin degree day hike this time of year proved fatal. Oh....this has nothing to do with my picture tho.

Here is another shot from the same night....panned a little to the left of the one above.

And even more to the left, almost due east now......

Here you can tell just how high the bluff is, those trees at the bottom of the frame, running from the left (edit) right corner....are over a hundred, close to one hundred and fifty feet....tall, and I'm looking down upon them

Thank you Monnie.
If you see where the water is going back into a bay (about dead center of the picture) That is where I live, back in that bay.

Now....you didn't answer the question :-)

Eddie, Is it named such for the rope hanging from the tree?

These are beautiful. Great composition and colors, and I love that you silhouetted the foreground objects.

The colors in these are soft and quiet. Really nice mood.

Been wondering when you were going to bring up the cold and snow we had heard about and saw pictures of. It's too bad about the hiker. It's hard to believe that he couldn't walk out of at this time of the year.
