we went fishing today, and while on shore going for a dip, and a hotdog,, (no fish today) I was able to get a few shots. here's a few I got done, I tried to get into some contrast shots today,, how did I do?

I like these alot Sue, very nice colors. The third shot is my favourite, I love the composition.

I really like the textures in the first two photos, makes me want to reach out and touch the wood. :-D

I think the contrast is brilliant on the second shot, because it was achieve there. The first one is OK, but with the dof blurring into the back of the tree (top of the image), you lose the contrast you are looking for. The third is pretty but again, your dof is off a bit, the entire flower is not in focus and you are losing contrast because of the that. So for me the second is great and is the concept you are looking for.

Really like the contrast between the wood grain and the leaf in the second image....really lovely.
Also the little blue damp flower is great.

I agree, that second shot just takes it. Love the contrast of the leave against the wood. Very well done.

Those little flowers are really "tiny" flowers lol we have them growing in the driveway. I'm not sure if they're technically weeds or not, but they grow as weeds here. I like the one petal that's missing, it makes it a bit more interesting to me.
