I remember living in southern California how we use to really have to amend our soil to get it to grow grass and stuff. Took a lot of mulch, fertilizer and water, to get it to grow.....
Heck, up here the grass grows right on the sand and this is saltwater too :shock:

They don't let the cows graze on it tho......they say it makes their beef salty :-P
