This is looking out from our spare room, sometimes used as a guest room. On a day like today with a breeze blowing in and the sound of the waves below, a great place for a nap.
Comments welcome.

Definately a great view. I think that it would be more than difficult to get up in the morning. I like the angle on this shot. It draws the attention back and forth across the room.

To see the sea is to be one with the sea. Someone once said that to me in conversation and I always remembered it. A room with a view of the sea...what could be nicer....only the photo.
Great picture.

Before I headed for the factory this morning, this is the view out this same window at 6:40AM. Pretty hard to beat the morning light.

Love the minimal look of this shot. Only thing to make this better is to have a Labrador Retriever curled up on the bed with his head on the pillow.

A DOG???? Dogs belong outside in the dog house!!! Monnie, I was thinking more of a naked woman curled up on the bed!!! Having neither at my disposal, I just lay down and took a nap with the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks below.
That spare room! Solitude!

That would be a great portrait spot...someone staring out the window. Great lighting and setting.

Landis, I mentioned the Lab because it reminds me of the Wyeth photograph with the dog lying curled on the bed.

Beautiful photo.
I feel relaxed just looking at it.
I need a photo, such as this, to hang next to my computer at work; when I get tense or stressed I can pause and stare at this photo.
I am sure after a minute I would be calm and completely refreshed.

As an added note, which I haven't mentioned on how I shot this. It's actually two shots combined. The room is very dark compared to the bright sun outdoors. In order to get the ocean properly, it required a 8 stop less exposure, so I shot it for the exposure for the room and another shot for outdoors. Then I took the proper ocean and pasted it into the window. On the Inside photo, the window is total white.

Very nicely minimalist with the emptiness of the view echoing the sparseness of (this part) of the room. I like the lighting of the shot.

Lovely images Landis.
If you could pick me up at the airport, that would be great.
