While out and about today, I managed upon a flock of pelicans playing with some other shore birds.

Those are really good, Steve! I like the bit of motion blur on the wing tips on #1. You've quickly made the transition from macro coin work to doing really well in many ohter areas of photography.

I am certainly putting in the time and effort. I am averaging 5 to 7 hundred pics a week to shorten my learning curve. I finally broke down and purchased a kenko 2x teleconverter today to help bring in the distant photos. Of course it only works on AF to 200mm, and forces me to go manual to reach the 300mm shots.
Out of 120 pics today, I did manage to keep 75 with simple cropping, and that is a good start.
