OK, i got a camera. But i know i cant attach any extra lenses to it. But i badly want to. What do i do?
What kind of lens?
I think the only kind that would be useful for your digital camera would be a homemade macro (close-up) lens. Here's a link to one method of making your own:

Umm, well return it, or buy another. You should get an SLR if you want interchangeable lenses. Not all SLRs have this feature, and these are not the only cameras which have it, but it's a good start. If you can't afford a digital one, (they are expensive), get a film SLR. A decent one can be had used on Ebay for $100-200 USD. Then you'll have to spend extra cash on lenses, but you'll still come in way below a DSLR.
A good film SLR and lens combo would be a used Canon Eos Elan IIe, and a Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens. You could probably get the two for under $300.
Check www.dpreview.com for info on DSLRs.

If DSLR is a bit out of budget you also could think about digital compact like the Canon A70, A80, G3 or G5.
Those camera's support wide and teleconverters (lenses) and can do a pretty good job.
Check out this for Canon stuff and lenses www.lensmateonline.com to get an idea.

It depends on what you want to do, Rigel - there are adapters out there that will let you use ANY camera with filters and close up lenses, but that won't help if you want to add a Canon EF 75-300mm to it... if you want to use a polarizer, etc, that's easy - the adapter fits onto the tripod socket, and holds a filter out in front of where you lens reaches...
Cheers,
Stuart
