With this series of shots, I wanted to try and get the softness of the water and also a foreground subject displaying a sense of more sharpness....

Again, the lighting had me struggling to figger out properly, and my son and wife who don't shoot, so they quickly wanted to move on.....kinda forcing me to hurry up and shoot, but nevertheless, I wanted to take full advantage of my surroundings to experiment with.

Again.....I'd LOVE to hear any and all feedback :-D

I guess on this shot, I could try to just lighten my wife's face under the brim of her cap.....

My son Kameron put'n on a pose....

Now this shot here....I don't recommend, BUT, my son doesn't listen to me
I'll show a picture later just how precarious his perch on the water was....you gotta remember, that is moss and a wet log he is standing on

Handheld at about 40 yards

Well gee, I just looked at your portraits and they look just fine. Congats on getting your wife and son to hold their poses long enough to get the shots taken. I suppose, if nothing moves you're going to get the sharpness you're trying for. Since the prime focus of the shots are the water fall and your "models", everything else is just background. I'm sure I've missed some small detail, but they look good, and inviting to me.
