While leaving for work this more, the sun was just beginning to spread a few rays around. One happened to be just barely lighting on one of my dahlias. I had to try and take a picture of it, quickly, as the moment was escaping with each second of delay.
Did I capture the moment?

It looks like a lovely moonlight shot. Very nice Eddie. Not knowing a lot about backlighting, I can't say too much, but I don't think you caught quite what you were looking for. But I like it anyway. :-D :-D

It is a very nice photo... I think if other flowers were int he shot with this one back light it would really standout as something different.
Great color and well done.

Very well done, and you're getting fancy with the framing now too.
Knowing that you had no control over your lighting, I must say that it's unfortunate that you could not also have some back light on the bottom portion of the flower. It would have certainly made for a completely different image, perhaps better, perhaps not.
Keep it up.

No Skippy....I never get what I'm trying for
But I'll keep trying :-D
I couldn't get the subtleness of the comp, it would be under-exposed..... :?
Thanxs Matt and pbj :-)
It was tuff Craig. I've tried to get other exposures with more light, but then I lost that look I was hoping to get but didn't......
