I like the 1st one Tim. That's a great perspective on the sunset. I'm not crazy about #2. There's nothing of interest to look at; no focus point.

Yeah, I missed getting the sun in my shots, but I thought that they still looked pretty good. I guess they don't look very impressive resized down to 800x600. Oh well...

I agree with Monnie. The silhouette of the "weeds" in the first one really gives it some interest.

You don't actually have to get the sun in the shot to have a successful sunset shot. Some of my favorites are after the sun has gone down, but while there is still a nice orange glow.

I would agree with you - #2 is really kind of bland.
