this is a scan of some fujichrome astia that i shot a few weeks back. ive been shooting a lot more film lately and scanning. just wanted to know what you guys think. thanks in advance.

What! no bikes or skateboards! :(

I like this image but I don't know what it is trying to tell me. The exposure, sharpness and composition are really good.
I also like that you are shooting film a bit, it is always good to go back to old things!

hahaha yeah, no bmx lately. i have a few new ones on my flickr, but they aren't really all that new... i really just shot a series of this place, and definitely when i have time to type it all up, ill explain the whole story. it really is interesting, but im about to be off to class.

all in all i was going for a very simple image. the old sign leads you into the old closed down convenient store. it was really dreary outside, and the overall mood of the photo was somewhat melancholy. i felt i achieved basically what i was going for, but then again, you're always partial to you're own work. hopefully one day ill go back and reshoot just the sign. i feel it might have made for a less distracting photo. the only problem i have is i find myself fighting to look at either the sign or the building... which is something i always end up doing.
