Canon 5D MkII sample images [more added]

Here is a sample image gallery taken with the new 5D MkII (Beta). The high ISO performance is really impressive. ISO 12,800 is clearer than 1600 on my camera!

Definitely a good sampling of images there. ISO 25,600 is a bit noisy, but it's no worse than 3200 on my 10D. It looks like 3200, and even 6400, are more than usable. It's amazing how noise levels keep dropping with every new camera. I don't even like using 400 that often on my camera.

Looks really good on paper, ive put my name down for one, but ill see what the asking price is before i commit

I strongly suspect that Photoshop CS4 will be the version which will have the 5D Mk II Raw plug-in, forcing CS3 users to either upgrade or find a less-satisfactory workaround. As you may know, there's going to be a big announcement about CS4 on Tuesday, Sept. 23rd.

Adobe's big announcement was that CS4 will be released in March. Since the MkII is coming out in November, I'll change my guess and say Adobe would provide a new plug-in for CS3. Who knows at this point?
