I don't believe you can post a photo for critique that you're entering in a contest on the Zo. Check the rules for the BWC. I'm sure the Monthly is the same.

OK, I tried to find it in the rules. I don't see it. Maybe they changed it when they changed the rules awhile back. One of the mods will come along with a better answer, I'm sure.

Dillon, Bruce will be mad at you if he finds out he's not the only one shooting wine bottles :D

Nice try, something different. Good luck with your entry :)

I think your right or maybe it was you could not enter a photo in a contest that has been previously posted or something like that. But if you did not find anything then maybe the rule was changed. Either way it is still a nice shot.

I don't see any reason for you to delete your entry, Dillon, I don't think it makes sense to keep your entry out of the challenge just because you uploaded also into the critique forum.

Dillon. I don't really know if it's appropriate to post the photo if you are entering it in a challenge, but will gladly give you a critique on it.

What you have is an attempt at a Product Shot of wine and something in the box that I don't know what it is and it's not large enough to see or read the box. It's all sitting in a grape field. Good lighting and a proper exposure.

As a product shot, this falls down flat simply because the most important object in the photo is way too small and unimportant in the overall image. GET CLOSER!!!! MOVE IN!!! Make the bottle and box the main subject and close enough so you know what it is.

The placement of your objects is also not optimal due to the dead grass/dirt. You could have easily found a better place to put it AND clean up the leaves around it. Product shots call for attention to detail, not simply putting things down and snapping the photo.
