Ok - nicely seen and captured but a crop to lose the top and sides might enhance the focal point

    Might be a good idea.
I still have the tendency to keep all the pictures in their original ratios

Cropping works well especially in 6x4 or 7x5 ratios - maybe an experiment or two would help you see what I am suggesting (not that I am right!) - post a few experiments here - members would love to help.

I like the crop, less distraction.

Cats seem to be the same all over the world. The crop is better. Now the picture reminds of the winner in the May challenge that was Kathy's called Cat Nap.

I've been back and forth looking at the first shot and the cropped version several times, deciding which I prefer. I do believe I like them both. The cropped version brings the focus more on the cat, and in the original I like the overall scene.

Thank you Waterwings. I have the same thing myself.
I like the original because of the overal scene. The wall and the window contrasting with the old bench and weathered down concrete.

But indeed, the cropped version has a completely different focus

I like both and would probably keep them. But I AM a cat lover. ~~Peg
