Last week the kids were off all week, but the weather was crappy until Fri. Took the dogs on a long walk on a sunny day.

We found a few of these.

A dead meadow. It's been sprayed and will be plowed for corn shortly.

Found along side.

And this is how far along we are into spring here.

1 and 4 are a bit over-detailed- they confuse the eye slightly but 2 and 3 are very good. 3 is rather interesting.

Granted #1 could be closer and more isolated, but #4 is showing a lane and a path to walk. How can it be over detailed?

Our spring has also stalled somewhat no rain and high temperatures in March and ever since the water company imposed water restrictions after 2 fairly dry winters, we've had rain every day and it is cold enough to have put the heating back on.Perhaps the rest of your spring plants are hiding under the leaves to keep warm?

Anyway,I really like the empty jars and think they would make for a really gritty B&W conversion Skippy.

Our Spring arrived in the 1st week of April & our New Year starts with the spring. We celebrated our New Year in the 1st wk of April.

Thanks Karin, Peg and Reddy. Wonder if I did a false hdr how would work. Maybe before it stops raining, I well get a chance to try. Should also go back. It's been almost two weeks and things have changed a lot.

I, for one, can't believe temps reach this high in your part of the world. Although summer, our temps are still much lower.

Wow Kevin 105 already..............and Farm Reports was telling this morning that, that part of the world will have a warmer than average next 90 days.

I really love the jar shot. Great find. Our spring has slid into summer, it hit 92 degrees at my house today, sunny and HOT.

Thanks Linda. It's been 25 here the last two mornings. Frost on the truck windshield. And flower buds on the apple tree..................Makes me wonder if they will open.
