Why is my thread closed?

I made a posting this morning and after a response by Reflection this thread is closed.

How do I respond to Reflections?

Monnie, it must be because you are a mod. It shows locked for me. I had typed up a great reply to it earlier and got a message saying that it was locked when I hit post. I sure would like to share my answer.

Thanks Monnie, I wonder if there is a problem with the site for the second time I got this message

I'd appreciate it if someone who's not a moderator would post something in that thread as a test. If you can't, please post here and someone will get this fixed. Thanks!
