    At Ocean Shores WA, the wind coming off the ocean blows a layer of sand close to the ground. I've tried to capture the motion with this photo. I tried long exposure of 1 second, but it just looked too soft, so lowering the shutter speed to 1/160 has kept some detail. It looks kind of desolate, even thought it's a beach.

    This is the sunset at the same location, same day.

    I've always loved that effect myself. Good capture of it. All three pictures show that you had a nice day indeed.

    Remember how you did that second one next week. You may want to try it again. I think it makes a lovely sunset.

    Great light in all these photos, I just love this time of day on the coast. #2 is my favorite.
