Hi, new guy.

Hi everyone. I'm Frank, from Pretoria, South Africa. I'm an keen aviation photography hobbyist, military stuff in particular, probably stems from having spent 8 years in the South African Air Force as a youngster. Our local air shows are enthusiastic, though a little lacking in variety, but I've spent every July since 2005 in the UK, attending air shows like RIAT, Flying Legends and Farnborough, and will be there again this year. I hope to attend Oshkosh in the not too distant future. I shoot with a Canon 1D MkIIn, 7D, and 50D, using a 600 f4L, 400 f5.6L and 70-200 f2.8L lenses. My other interests are fishing, and motorcycling, and I reckon those are enough expensive hobbies.

I've been lurking around this site for a while, admiring some fine work, and finally decided to participate, both to share and learn, and perhaps make some friends to meet up with out there one day.

I'm not too familiar with this forum's etiquette just yet, so initially I've just started populating my user gallery, until I find my way around.

Welcome to Photozo, Frank.

You will find that we have many members who share the same photographic interests as you. Many from the UK. The forums etiquettes can be found in the "Welcome new members thread" created by the site Admin Shouchen in the Landing Zone forum. You will also find other helpful threads in this section. As far as anything else, just peek around in the different forums, get to know the lay of the land, and post when you feel ready. Please feel free to ask questions as well.
