I'll start off the week. I have been so slack, lately. I've had some very bad back problems that flaired up. I have started epidural shots, so hopefully I'll be able to carry the camera without a lot of pain.

Sophie is almost a complete circle. How does she do that? You can always tell when the weather turns colder. She takes up residence on our bed.

Sorry to hear of your back problems Monnie. My dad has taken those shots and they helped a lot. Hope yours do too. Sophie looks comfortable. Great detail on her fur. ~~Peg

Sorry about your back Monnie, knew there was something wrong just not sure what. Bet looking at Sophie sends twinges up your spine. Love the light and detail in this. Very nice.

Was shooting some spiders today and found this tiny little guy in a maple leaf. His body had to be 3mm in length at the most - absolutely minuscule; but big enough to have a shadow. Light breeze made this almost impossible to capture. Shot with 50mm + a lot of extension tubes.

He sure looks a lot bigger than that. You even caught some web in there. Tubes are fun.

My back's been out, too, Monnie. Always happens to me in the first part of wood season....cat looks comfy.

    Isaac- nice spider.

No comment on the shoes, John.

Apple season is here, including these crab apples.

Wow Willard that tree is loaded. Don't think I have ever seen one with so many. Sorry about your back.

John, how can you deny her anything.

Isaac, what a creepy spider. Macro is so much fun.
John, Linda looks great. Better buy her the shoes before some other guy buys her more than that.
Willard, the tree is loaded and it just glows.

While in a music store with my husband I took a couple shots with my cell phone. Wish I'd had my 40D. Lost the EXIF when I processed it. ~~Peg

Peg, the guitars are beautiful, but that picture on the wall intrigues me. Why carry a big camera, when your cell phone doing such a nice job. The new one has 8 megs...........more than my old 10D

Skippy, the instruments are actually mandolins. The pic is a bit soft because I had nothing to balance the cell on, so it was hand held. I used a free app called "Super Camera". It has so many nice features, one of which is anti-shake. Problem is, you must set the cell on something or it just won't take the picture. ~~Peg

Fall has been slow in coming this year. It was 80 degrees today and had to search for good color. I'm looking forward to the crisp Fall days but am a bit fearful we'll jump right into the colder weather and skip Fall altogether. At least the rain stopped!

Peg my dad had a mandolin but I don't think it was shaped like that....

Pat I am envious of your great color. Ours is not real great this year. But you have some good color.

    Skippy-

Our color is pretty disappointing this year as well. It's just the occasional standout that you find.

Monnie- Do your dogs get along with the cat? I used to have a cat but the dogs just made her life miserable.
Isaac- Like the shadow. Great detail on such a little spider.
Willard- Is that a type of crabapple? I've seen them around and never knew what they were - nothing like the crabapples in my yard.
Michael- Did they put that sign up just for you?
Peg- Cell phone cameras are getting better all the time. You did a good job with this one.

Pat, Sophie, our cat, rules the roost around here. At 7 pounds, she thinks nothing of putting 90 pound Buddy in his place with one smack of her claws. Lol

Default This Is a Flood Light?

It only lasts until eleven or twelve oclock. I am going to replace the battery with some old camera flash batteries with more mAhrs to make it last longer. I did that with a sidewalk light and it now lasts through the night so the solar cell seems better than the battery they supply to store the charge.
