Very beautiful shot. I'm sure hoping my week at the beach lines up with a POTW challenge. It didn't last year and I got some fantastic sunrise/sunset shots.

Thanks, Everyone - for the voting and for the lovely comments.

This is an especially memorable shot because it's one of the last ones taken with my late 50D. Yep, I had a major adventure this past week. I stumbled, lost my hold on the camera strap (guess swinging along isn't the best idea ever!), and the 50D became airborne. Landing on huge cement blocks and rocks lining the river's edge apparently is hazardous to a camera's health. Who knew!

Luckily, I had taken out a rider on my apartment owner's insurance last Fall, and both the body and lens were completely covered. My replacements should be here this week. Also luckily, I had a Rebel XTi available to take several hundred pictures of my great-nieces' dance recital pictures.

Monnie - I feel your POTW pain! It isn't often our schedules/shots line up properly!

Bruce - coming from you - that's a big compliment.

The replacement has arrived already - picking it up in an hour or so. The 70-300 should be delivered today or tomorrow (with luck, it's at my sister's place already.) Yea!
