Just some quick captures around the yard with the new lens. Pretty much straight out of the camera.

    The mushroom from both sides.

Some bugs on the wrong side of the leaves. LOL

    Black walnut leavers.

Yes! That bokeh is fantastic. I love rounded blades. You got a winner.

Too bad you don't live in Chicagoland. Brad Miller on NBC has a thing called "Fungus Wednesday" where they display fungi submissions, and I am certain this would be accepted for broadcast. An excellent image of shelf fungus.

Thanks Peg. There are several here that use it, so was hoping that it would be as good as theirs.

Will thanks, am glad you agree the bokeh is good. Good glass is what has been stressed over and over here. I am a believer. But really hated to give up the extra 30mm of the 28-135. Timid shooter here.

CJ Thanks, for the comments, no thanks don't want to live in the windy city.

Hunter these were shot in raw, processed in DPP. Pretty much straight out of camera.

Congrats on aquiring a new lens Skippy. Seems it's doing a good job.

    Nice shots of the mushroom.

And I like the POV in the last shot as well.

Looks like a really nice piece of glass. Really like #3, I seem to be drawn to leaf shots.

    New toys, there's nothing better.
Really like the shroom shots, looks like a nice lens you've got there. Indeed a sweet bokeh.

    Thanks Reddy, it's a Canon.

Thanks Mark, I like to do leaves sometimes especially when the are backlit.

Thanks Paul. It does seem to be working well. I managed a few really nice shots at the wedding.

Thanks Greg. Need all the help I can get.
