    Poor old June - hope she doesn't get hurt in the stampede.

    Very nice, John. All it needs is a few sheep grazing, and it would be perfect.

    We do have quite a lot Kevin and Dartmoor is one of our National Parks. have a look here for more info:

    Dartmoor is at the bottom left of the map in Cornwall. It's so remote that they put one of our highest security prisons there,although nowadays it no longer holds that status.

    Glad you liked the rose , Peg.

    My DIL grows roses all around the property and they are always a pleasant surprise.

    Willard, excellent composition and processing on this rose. it's beautiful.
    Peg, love the P&T on this one. Did you every take Robin's photo class? If you did, do you remember her lesson on P&T. I still remember that our shot should not resemble brick walls. That one got me every time. Lol

    Willard - a lovely rose and one that (in this hayfever season) isn't making me sneeze!!
    Nice comp and colour

    Peg - thats a cool pattern and texture, it suits the greyscale finish

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Kevin, I live in Cornwall where there are many wide open spaces, in the coming months I aim to get out a photograph more.
    Karin - Nope! I didn't have my 'wellies' and it was too damn cold to go in barefoot so I set up on a small island on the edge of the stream
    Willard - Yep, there are fish to be caught in the rivers and streams of the area, not that I know anything about fishing...............
    Never had the pleasure of meeting Robin or taking any of her classes, unfortunately. Not sure what she was getting at? ~~Peg
    Phil, I think he looks slightly chagrined that he has to be seen in "THAT THING". Lovely cat and image. ~~Peg
    I'm so good. I went to see if I could dig out my Rebel 350 to use while my 40D is in the shop. I had actually put everything it need to be up and running in the same box. This is so not like me. I was good for once. Took this today while on a walk with Elizabeth and the girls. I'm not sure if I like it or if it's exposed correctly. To me the swing was so forlorn and caught my eye right away. I'm not sure the photo captures that feel. Please tell me what you think.
    Here is the re-edited version. I think this is much better. Thanks for the help Willard. I missed the color balance completely. Let me know if there's anything I can do to make this one better.
    Here's the original, for comparison.
    OK. I'll see what I can do about that. I forgot the 350 was not set to shoot in RAW. Might have to do some extra tweaking.
