Thanks Sudhakar. No I got upset and left the forum for a while until I could gain a better perspective. Bob

Well, bee-ing stung can make one upset from time to time on forums, but things change; today's enemies are tomorrow's friends, etc, etc, etc.

But to the point of your image; I have appreciated these in the past, but now even more because I was at the Morton Arboretum yesterday and thinking of these, I so much wanted to take one of the dragonflies darting about and sometimes hovering for seeming minutes.

While I was UNsuccessful, what that experience did was to make me think about what must go into the creation of an image such as this.

These days, I think, with the high-tech bombardment of all kinds of amazing images we encounter from advertising and elsewhere daily, we develop a sort of impervious armor to images which is why the keep increasing in intensity. But I think that one begins to fully comprehend what an image is when one thins about how to make it themselves.

And in that way, BobR, mega-zooer, I am saying this word: Awesome

Thanks Chacagojohn! Thanks Bushhed! A good bit of luck, patience and the advantage of a quality compact like the XZ1 with its small sensor yielding better DOF and excellent lens turned the trick. I doubt I could ever capture this handheld with my D3100. Bob
