Bliss Woods
So I figured I'd taken enough pictures for three days, but I went for a photo drive today, letting the muse guide my car. We ended up turning into a forest preserve called Bliss Woods. Never been there before, and I almost backed up and left.
But I got out of the car and took a picture of a huge oak tree and then walked down the path. A man and his little girl were ahead of me so I had to pause for a while, and I took this picture when words came into my head. Then I left.

In the midst of my life
I awoke in a dark wood
where the true path was wholly lost
Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita
mi ritrovai per una selva oscura,
ché la diritta via era smarrita.
