At the National Balloon Classic, they do something that I've heard is totally unique in all the world.

As many balloons as possible are inflated on the ground, then at the same time (well after sunset), they all try to turn their burners on.

Because some of 'em weren't ready, and due to the wind, some were not able to get into the act.

No, it's too noisy.

Nice capture.
If the noise bothers you try either adding grain or running a smoothing program on the dark areas such as Define 2 by NIK.

I use Capture NX2's noise routine. It really failed at smoothing out the sky.

Nice capture. I recently saw a hot air balloon glow and mine were so noisy it made my eyes bleed! You've done much better with yours.

Later in the fall in NM they will do one set to music. A really awesome sight. Bslloond sre always great subject. I believe our little festival in early Oct. will also have glow. Not sure what the weather will be. Looks like a really fun time.
