I love some of the silly looking poses that athletes have when you freeze their motion.

    Excellent shots!

Very dramatic images, petereoin, capturing the intense emotion, action, and beauty of sports. I think your use of depth of acceptable focus and stop action to make the subjects and the moment pop definitely help to make your images so successful.

I like this series a lot!

Very impressive. Sharp individuals perfectly frozen in action.
    Color me jealous.

Exactly, JimL; that is what is so great about them, and the expressions.

and green too. These excellent. The poor guy in in #4 looks like he only has one foot you caught him so fast. Nice work.

These are very well done! The dof and focus are perfect and the stop action has really caught the intensity of the action. (Not to mention a few humorous poses and expressions)

Excellent job! I was taught early on that two of the main requirements for a good sports photo (assuming sharp focus and good exposure) were to have faces and the ball visible in the photo. Your low angle and ideal dof add to these, but it's your composition which puts these above a lot of other sports photos.

    Thanks Bruce,

That's quite a compliment, hopefully I will be able to live up to it in my future work
