    Black Birch in an upland swamp. The roots are growing over rock/rocks.

    Looks like bonsai.

    Yah....it could also be a dinosaur's claw........

    Son and I were cutting/hauling firewood and this caught my eye for a minute and I went back later in the afternoon with my camera.

    This makes an interesting picture, very nice tones, textures and sharpness. I can imagine this tree making a perfect Bonsai.
