That 2nd shot just made me laugh outloud, what a cute little chick-a-dee. The 3rd shot is WOW, lovely. Like your Junco too, but wish there was a bit more light around his face and eye.

Number two..what an excellent capture. That must a birds style of snowmobiling. Love the snow coming off the beak.

I love the 3rd one Wayne. Is that a Sparrow or Finch? All 3 are great catches. The Chickadees are great fun to watch. One of the ones who visits me gets quite perturbed when he sees his reflection and tries to chase it away thinking it's another bird.

These are great Wayne. I like the little sparrow (#3). I miss them. They are everywhere in New Zealand and very cheeky but they don't appear to be in Australia.

Love #2. My take on it is that his landing gear failed in the snow and he is crash landing. The snow coming of the beak is great!!

Great captures. I love the Snow bird (Dark Eyed Junco). It's interesting to hear they winter over up there. We should start seeing them by the end of the month in eastern SC. They winter down here until about March and then leave.

Williard, that's one awesome chigger. It looks so huge there. Hard to believe they are so incredibly tiny. You can definitely see why they're also called red bugs.
