    Default Film Sprocket Effects. Possible?

Hi there everyone, im new here and new to digital photography. At the moment im using a Fuji S5600 but am hoping to move on to an SLR soon. I started out with the hobby to mainly shoot concert photography. A sample of pictures can be found here:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/mullers...7594158562619/

I dont know if this is possible or not but is there a filter or template for Photoshop CS that allows effects such as in the photo linked below?
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/oxbloodskies/354703854/

I believe the vignetting is just the holes for the film sprockets as it was taken on film. But is there anyway to recreate this in digital pictures?

    Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the ZO. Do you have a name we can call you or would you prefer Muller?
As far as the effect you're looking for I'm fairly certain that's just a frame that could be done with most of the editing software available.
There is probably a plugin for CS. Or you could make your own.
I personaly don't use CS so I can't say for sure but if you're patient, I'm sure some one here can Help.

Jump in and start filling your free gallery space with some of you work.

That's pretty easy to do yourself with a templet of black and carefully erase the edges to get the effect you want. Then save the template in a number of various sizes (start with the big size and then size down as you like). Then all you have to do is paste your photo on to the template that is properly sized.

The trick to good photography is to learn where to point your camera and when to push the shutter. The EYE is more important than all the technical stuff.

    Take a look here

    http://www.autofx.com/mystical_light..._lighting.html

there are lots of sites doing actions and filters of one kind or another just keep looking. I used to have a filter that did parchment but unfortunately I have lost it at the moment. I will keep looking.

The Plug-in you want is the Dream suite by auto fx...............it can do all kind of things like 5x4 film edges with rebates ect. I have both Mystical Light and Dream suite bundle, they are god for a while then he novilty wares off, just slows photoshop down. There is a way to get all these plug-ins for free, if you know how!

    However,

Its very easy to create that specific effect in the photo you posted just by using photoshop canvas size and a few brushes.

    Cheers, Jimmy!!

However the other day when I posted this I saw in another thread on this forum a link with a load of photoshop downloads

    http://www.atncentral.com/download.htm#BW_Conv

I got exactly what I wanted on there. Heres one of the shots with the effect:

I'll check out the other links tomorrow when im at my decent computer.

    Thanks again!

I still don't see any sprocket holes.

My logo used to have 35mm sprocket holes (even though I used 120 film):

Just make a mask or frame from this photo. Paint out the print if you do not want it. You can select the white and delete it (after promoting to a new layer) if you want to use it as a frame.
    Hope you find this useful.
